As of April 6th, 2020, the Town of Cicero has 95 residents with reported cases of COVID-19. Up to date information about reported cases in Cicero and the surrounding suburbs is available here

According to the Town of Cicero Facebook page, there is one confirmed report of a person that has passed away due to COVID-19. They were a resident at City View nursing home that tested positive for the virus and was transported to a hospital.

Town officials are urging all residents including kids and teens to observe the Governor’s Stay-At-Home-Order which was extended until April 30th. The Town noted on their Facebook page that there is a trend in deaths among younger ages.

The Center of Health Journalism website, developed an app (embedded above) that offers a free assessment of mild to moderate symptoms of COVID-19 “to help individuals decide when to treat their symptoms safely at home and when to seek medical help.” You can read more on the blog post here and use the free assessment tool above at the top of this page. Remember, this tool is not a diagnosis but, as stated on the app,  it is for “informational purposes only and does not qualify as a medical opinion.” If you are experiencing a medical emergency, you should contact 911 immediately.
