Most of the invoices were in the amount of $11,297.31 and included various light bars, new sirens and PA system, a sliding window to separate the back seats and much more.

One invoice was in the amount of $4,950.34 which covered the purchase and installation of “administrative emergency equipment” in a newly purchased 2022 Chevy Tahoe “currently assigned to President Larry Dominick,” as noted by Superintendent of Police Jerry R. Chlada. The equipment listed on the invoice included a tinted windshield visor, an undercover siren, and various light fixtures to be mounted around the car.

Permit Applications

The first permit approved by the board was for a block party to be held on August 7 on the 3100 block of 54th Avenue.

The following permit that was approved was for the annual Fill The Boot fundraiser organized by the International Association of Fire Fighters. The fundraiser is in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association whose goal is to accelerate research and advocate for the support of families affected by this neuromuscular disease.

The Cicero Fire Department will be participating on September 3, 10 and 17 by asking for donations at the following intersections:

  • Central Ave and Cermak Rd

  • Laramie Ave and 25th St

Settlements of Litigation

The final resolution approved by the board was for the settlement of the case titled Robert J. Miller v. Antonio Ayala and The Town of Cicero. The town agreed to pay $40,000 to Miller to settle litigation regarding an alleged vehicle collision that occurred back in March of 2015. No other details of this case were given.
